Deposits
When purchasing a lesson through our booking system, you will have the option to pay either a deposit (taken out of the total cost of your lesson) or the full price of the lesson. If you pay the deposit at the time of booking, you are responsible for paying for the full price of your lesson immediately after completing your session with Nattalyee. Failure to fully pay for a lesson will result in you being unable to book with us again.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Lessons must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 HOURS in advance by text or email. If a lesson is cancelled less than 48 hours beforehand, you will lose the lesson deposit.
If an appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, it is at Nattalyee's discretion whether the lesson can be rescheduled.

Lateness and No-Shows
Please arrive at your lesson, whether in-person or online, on-time. The time missed at the beginning of the lesson will not be added to the end of the lesson, and you will lose that time.
For 30 minute lessons, there is a 5 minute lateness grace period. For 45 or 60 minute lessons, there is a 10 minute lateness grace period. Failure to arrive for the lesson within the grace period will result in you being considered a no-show, and you will lose the lesson and your deposit. If you are running late because of traffic, subway, work, etc you MUST communicate that to Nattalyee otherwise it is considered a no show.

Packages
If you book a package, you can schedule all of your lessons at once. You do not have to wait to use one lesson before scheduling the next.
If you cancel a lesson purchased with a package more than 48 hours beforehand, you can reschedule the lesson for a future time/date. Sessions cancelled less than 48 hours beforehand will result in the lesson from that package being lost without refund.

Payments more than 3 days late will incur a late fee of $25. Continued non-payment will result in suspension of lessons.
There is no refunds for any lessons purchased. If you bought a package or lesson and no longer want to use it, you may be able to gift them to someone else (this will be on a case by case basis).

Health and Safety
If you or your child are experiencing any symptoms of illness (fever, sore throat, coughing, etc.), please stay home. A virtual lesson can often be arranged in place of an in-person session.
If a student has recovered from illness but still has a lingering cough, virtual lessons may be recommended to avoid disrupting others' learning.

Filming & Media Release
From time to time, we may take photos or short videos during lessons to share on our website or social media pages to celebrate our students and studio life. By attending lessons, you’re giving us permission to record this content and use it for promotional purposes, such as posting on Instagram or TikTok.
If you’d prefer not to appear in any photos or videos online, that is also no problem at all! You can opt out at any time. Let us know your preference to not be filmed by sending an email to [email protected] and we'll make sure you (or your student) are not posted on our public channels.

What to Bring and How to Practice
As noted by many professionals in the business industry and myself. To make the most of your lesson, please bring the following:
- A water bottle: Staying hydrated is essential for vocal health.
- Sheet music or books: Bring any assigned music, books, or printouts.
- Lesson notebook or binder: Used to track goals, assignments, and practice notes.
- Pencil: For marking music and taking notes during the lesson.
- Recording device (optional): Recording your lesson (with instructor permission) can help reinforce learning at home.
If you're taking virtual lessons, also make sure you have:
- A reliable internet connection
- A quiet, well-lit space
- Your music/notebook/pencil easily accessible
- Your camera positioned so the instructor can see you clearly from the waist up
Practicing regularly between lessons is key to reinforcing your learning and progression! Here are some tips on how to practice at home:
- Warm up using the exercises given during the lesson.
- Don’t just sing through songs, isolate the challenging sections and work on them slowly.
- Review your instructor’s notes from the last lesson and practice what was assigned.
- Occasionally record your practice to track your progress and identify areas to improve.
